The Outcrop | Floating Cat Step

An outcrop is rock that juts out from a surface, giving you a ledge where there wasn't one. That's the job of this step. The Outcrop is a floating cat step that extends out from your wall, giving your cat a wider, more confident landing spot for tricky jumps, or a way to reach a perch just around the corner.

The Outcrop is the piece that fixes the trouble spot on your cat wall. When a wall feature leaves a standard step tucked out of reach, The Outcrop floats out to meet your cat where they need it.

• A bigger landing for tricky jumps: The floating design adds exactly 90mm of extra landing space to a standard step, so the leap down from a hammock or perch feels less like a gamble.
• Reach around corners: Extend out past the edge of a wall to connect steps on either side of a corner, so your cat can get to spots that were previously out of reach.

Designed from a real problem

The Outcrop started with a customer's cat. She'd set up our Set of 3 steps with the hammock bed, and getting up was easy. Getting down was the problem: the top step sat almost directly below the hammock, so there was very little room to land. What the cat needed was a step that floated out and gave more space for that last leap. So we made one.

Pre-installed non-slip Cork Pad

The Outcrop comes with a cork pad pre-fitted to the landing surface. The natural texture gives paws grip and insulates from the cold metal, keeping paws comfortably warm. It's soft on paws, durable enough for daily use, and easy to replace when the time comes (replacement cork pads are available in our shop).
